Steve Duyzer – Director & CEO
Nourish Board Director Steve Duyzer is passionate about food. As a Red Seal Chef, General Manager and Efficiency Consultant in some of the finest restaurants in Bermuda, Costa Rica, France and Canada, his specialty is maximizing efficiency, taste and nutritive value from sustainable food sources, with a focus on improving quality of life and reducing food waste.
Steve has co-owned The Vancouver Fish Company on Granville Island for the past ten years and is passionate about giving back to his home province of BC where he was born and raised.
Don Guthro – Director & COO
Nourish Director and Chief Operations Officer Don Guthro brings a wealth of credibility and expertise to the organization. Raised on his family’s Ontario farm, Don’s early exposure to agriculture laid the foundation for a remarkable career in the food industry. He honed his culinary skills at George Brown Culinary School and furthered his expertise at Michelin-starred restaurants across Europe, including the prestigious London Savoy. His international experience spans Austria, Switzerland, Germany, Italy, Dubai and Malaysia.
A longtime advocate for food security, Don has initiated meal programs for at-risk communities, preparing up to 1,500 meals daily. His decades-long relationships with BC social housing programs and hospital boards further attest to his commitment to community welfare. Recently honoured with Vancouver Magazine’s prestigious Lifetime Achievement Award, Don’s extensive credentials and experience are exemplified by his passion and leadership in the food industry.
David Richard McCann, O.C. – Director
David McCann is a respected businessman, philanthropist, and a community leader in the fight against child poverty in Vancouver, British Columbia, and elsewhere in Canada, Mexico and Ukraine.
A defender of human rights, he was a catalyst in an investigation that uncovered decades of abuse at two Ontario schools and helped negotiate a groundbreaking reconciliation agreement for the over two thousand survivors which has become a template used around the world.
Leigh Angman – Director & CFO
A serial entrepreneur since 2002 and Simon Fraser University alumnus, Leigh has founded or co-founded six active companies in the areas of real estate technology, IT security, social gaming, hospitality and data science. His predominant focus is that of corporate finance, business development & administration management.
Leigh has co-owned The Vancouver Fish Company on Granville Island for the past ten years focuses predominantly on corporate finance & business development.
